Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing: Linda Sarsour and Rasmea Yousef Odeh

Linda Sarsour, a Palestinian-American, has gotten national fame as one of the organizers of the Woman’s March back on January 21, 2017.  She again gathered the national spotlight when Muslim activist Tarek El-Messidi and herself started a fundraiser to help raise money for a vandalized Jewish cemetery.  The fundraiser was called “Muslims Unite to Repair Jewish Cemetery.”  On the fundraiser’s website, the donator’s names are not shown. So there is no actual evidence as to whether a majority of the donators were Muslim or not. But the press has highlighted the “Muslim help” in this cause.

But Sarsour,who seems to have more affection for dead Jews than live ones, has a long history of conflict with the Jewish population. Left-wing and pro-Palestinian Jews seem to be ok with the fact that she has been an outspoken critic of Israel, Zionism, and Zionists.  Sarsour supports Jews if they agree with her on Israel, if not she fights against them on Twitter or by supporting causes like Students for Justice in Palestine.

Rasmea Yousef Odeh, a Palestinian, got her fame from being a terrorist. Unfortunately, her fame didn’t follow her into the US immigration office, and somehow she got citizenship in America despite a  terrorism conviction and imprisonment in Israel. She is now being tried for immigration fraud. She is one of eight organizers of the “Day Without a Woman” protest that will be held on March 8, 2017.

The Day Without a Woman is a general strike which supporters are claiming the purpose is to shed light on the importance of women in society.But underneath all that rhetoric it is about the Trump Administration and partly shutting down the country for the day. The organizers want to show they have power and momentum. They want to exercise their influence over the masses. If enough people participate, who knows what organizers of these protesters such as Linda Sarsour and Rasmea Yousef Odeh will be asking people to do next.

Many Jews stood behind Sarsour’s original protest, the march. They proudly marched. Then they praised her for her efforts for the Jewish cemetery.  Some Jews are so busy blaming Donald Trump for the anti-semitic attacks that are happening that they are blinded to see who the real enemies of the Jewish people are. Sarsour’s as well as Odeh’s plans, are to divide and conquer. Let’s split the Jews down the middle. Let’s get as many Jews on board with us.  Who will be left then to advocate for Israel and the Zionists? They want us to like them, to be friends with them, to trust them, to follow them. But at what expense? That we give up Israel? That we say, the Palestinian terrorism is ok? That we say, Hamas is ok? Yes, that is what Sarsour and Odeh want. They want us to betray our values. They want to win us over with their temporary political correctness. They want us to think that they care. Well, you know what? They don’t. In the end, it is all about them and their agenda. And before it is too late, we must come to realize this.

Some Jews might think that by participating in these protests they aren’t promoting these women. They are just promoting the so-called “ideals” behind the protest. But the more fame, notoriety, and credit these women get for their efforts the more power they will achieve. Numbers show they have gotten results. Don’t be someone they can add to their numbers to show the world they were successful, and that people should support them in their causes.

As much as some of us might not like Donald Trump and as much as some of us might be for women’s equality, we have to be careful who we follow to achieve our goals.  Don’t follow a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
