Debates are swirling now, whether Israel should go in and take over land in Lebanon, at least till the Litani River, in order to settle this thing, or they should wait and hope that Hezbollah and Hamas will come to the table and negotiate.

Reportedly Netanyahu told Knesset Members that the leader of Hamas might come to the table now, after Israel did what it did to Lebanon. On the other hand, we’re seeing that although Hezbollah has been strongly damaged, they are still launching lots of rockets. So most probably Hezbollah’s leader is not deterred. Just the opposite — he has lost face now among the Arabs and he needs to show that he’s tough.

As debates continue to go back and forth, and the world wonders whether Israel will proceed into Lebanon, let’s pause for a moment and just think about the amazing events of the recent past, and reflect on how G-d is watching over the Jewish people and blessing them with miraculous success. Thinking about this can engender tremendous optimism, that the future will be good in a way that Israel will triumph over its enemies, and there will finally be peace in the region.

Here are some of the wonders that have transpired.

Iran sent around 300 projectiles towards Israel, and they were neutralized. Remarkably US allies and other countries, including Arab countries, helped in the neutralization, because they were afraid of things escalating, which could threaten peace in the region, and possibly destabilize the world’s economy, because in a regional war, oil fields could possibly be destroyed.

Later, after Israel assassinated a top Hezbollah commander, Hezbollah had many rockets positioned to simultaneously attack Israel at a scheduled time. Remarkably, Israel had intelligence about this, and fifteen minutes before the scheduled attack, a hundred Israeli planes destroyed rocket launchers.

And then last week, the whole world was amazed at the marvellous spy caper, where three thousand pagers blew up at the same moment, hitting Hezbollah operatives, while generally sparing civilians in the immediate vicinity.

The next day walkie-talkies blew up in the same way.

And then on Friday, Israel bombed a secret meeting where reportedly Hezbollah commanders were planning an October 7 style of attack.

Also amazingly, Israel is showing that they are overruling the world, by continuing to fight and destroy Hamas. Despite world pressure condemning Israel and demanding a cease-fire, Israel is relentlessly and defiantly proceeding in its fight against evil — which ultimately will benefit the whole world, in spite of the world’s shortsightedness and bias against the Jewish state.

Things are looking up. G-d is protecting the Jewish nation. The world stand powerless, and are in awe and wonder,  seeing how G-d is protecting His people. They are in awe of Israel’s ingenuity, a blessed nation whose efforts are being blessed by G-d to be successful.

Things are looking up. It inspires confidence and optimism, not just for the current situation, but also in G-d‘s promise to the Jewish people, via his prophets and even via the non-Jewish prophet Bilaam, that G-d will redeem His people with Moshiach.

Moshiach and the Redemption is very close, a time when peace will prevail for all the world to see, when all nations will acknowledge G-d’s might, the preciousness and holiness of His chosen nation, and the Jewish people’s devoted loyalty to G-d throughout the generations.
