WonderVoice redefines how we listen, speak, and interact on the mobile / social Internet at SXSW 2014

Six years ago, I met Gal Melamed when he was a Product Manager at N-trig, where he was part of a team that went on to create a platform for what became the multi-touch tablet computer.

My take on what Gal is up to? He’s building out what could become the de-facto lingua franca platform of the mobile social Internet.

Over the last two years, I’ve been following Gal’s progress on his next major platform, something called WonderVoice — which is helping to redefine how we listen, speak and interact on the mobile / social Internet.

While we have the likes of Siri, it’s highly limited and hardly interactive. Services like Siri do not understand, and nor will it enable your smart to deeply interact with social networks such as Facebook, Twitter & WhatsApp with terms like LOL, OMG, and the myriad of other short form online slang that many of us now use in the real world.

We caught up at SXSW 2014 in Austin and having not only used his app for Facebook on the iPhone and then hearing what he had to share at the panel, Smart Transportation Future: Mobile & Big Data, the lights starting to go for me in terms of how WonderVoice’s platform technology could possibly redefine how we interact in our mobile and social world.

Watch, and more than anything, have a listen to where Gal is heading.
