World Water Day 2023 – Boat Undertakes Maiden Dead Sea Voyage

Neve Midbar beach resort, Northern Dead Sea, Israel, March 22: After a successful
Headstart crowdfunding campaign that reached 166% of its goal, The Dead Sea Revival
Project announced on World Water Day the launch of eco-educational boat excursions in the
The northern part of the lowest point on earth. It’s designed to raise awareness of the shrinking sea and the ecosystems it supports.

After weeks of logistical challenges entering the Dead Sea, a safe access point is found on
the Southern Edge of the Dead Sea.

“Today, 98% of the natural coastline of the northern Dead Sea is inaccessible due to over
7,000 sinkholes”, said Noam Bedein, founder of the Dead Sea Revival Project). “The only
way to truly explore the Dead Sea and experience its wonders is by boat. I have been
privileged to do this for the past 7 years and capture the changing landscape. Now I can
offer this experience to the general public and continue accompanying, researching, and
documenting the Dead Sea’s disappearance to share with the world.

After a 2-hour 50K journey across the Dead Sea to the North, the boat arrives at its home at
Neve Midbar Beach, is a location that is accessible for Israelis and Palestinians.

Ari Leon Fruchter, an art patron and social entrepreneur is the co-founder of the Dead Sea
Revival Project. “As people travel to the Dead Sea through Jerusalem they will for the first
time be able to discover the Dead Sea’s environmental secrets, and explore it from the
water itself.” As well as boosting awareness and education, Fruchter hopes that any funds
made from the boat tours will bring his dream of a Dead Sea art museum closer to
realization.
