Haviv Gur is the New York Reporter for the Times of Israel. He was most recently the director of communications for the Jewish Agency for Israel, one of the largest Jewish organizations in the world. He previously worked as the Jewish world correspondent for the Jerusalem Post, has reported from dozens of Jewish communities around the world, and lectures and teaches widely. Haviv teaches Jewish history at the pre-military academy in Tel Aviv and is head of government relations for SpaceIL, the Israeli NGO competing in the Google Lunar X-Prize contest to be the first to land a civilian spacecraft on the moon.
