How do you export innovation? Israel is a nation of problem solvers, whose perseverance, chutzpah and optimism embody a culture of entrepreneurship. Israel is a giant when it comes to innovation: a global leader in R&D spending and VC investment, and home to global R&D centers for the likes of Google, Apple and IBM. Israeli technology companies raised an astonishing $1.7 billion in Q2/2016, in 187 financing deals. In Q1/2016, 174 Israeli high-tech companies raised $1.1 billion in private financing rounds.

Currently, there are 300 Israeli start up’s in the New York area. Guy Franklin created Israel Mapped in NY to connect, promote and enhance the Israeli ecosystem in New York. Franklin’s company was showcased this week at Adtech:NY in the Israeli pavilion. Franklin, recently joined SOSA NY as General Manger. SOSA (South of Salame) is a community comprised of leaders from all walks of the entrepreneurial ecosystem who believe in propelling innovation through constant personal interactions. Founded by a diverse team of industry enthusiasts, SOSA is located in South Tel Aviv and opening in New York soon. SOSA New York will be modeled as a Yale club meets co-working space. They are planning on developing an exclusive incubator which will create innovative companies from the ground up. These ventures provide the opportunity to scale Israeli businesses, promote the best of Israel and transform our global economy.
