A call to Arabs everywhere

The Arab leadership in Israel, the West Bank, and elsewhere must express its utter revulsion at this unspeakable atrocity

I am writing this to my Arab friends who are citizens of the State of Israel and beyond. History will not forget those of us who have not already declared, or who will not declare in the clearest possible terms, that the Hamas attack on the kibbutzim and towns near Gaza was an unspeakable atrocity. The testimonies of these acts of horror can leave no one untouched.

The Arab leadership in this country, in the West Bank, and everywhere else must express its utter revulsion at the massacre of babies, children, youths, mothers and the elderly.

My heart is with the people of Gaza, victims of fanaticism, whose tragedy like those of my friends from the Israeli communities on the Gaza border, cannot be described in words.

I hope we will all wake up from this nightmare. We have been cursed, and now we must do whatever we can to save lives, comfort the survivors and pray that one day the way of peace will transcend the way of war.
