A Change in Thought and Direction

At this critical juncture, with the lives of the remaining hostages in grave danger and the looming threat of Israel’s capitulation through withdrawal from Gaza and an end to the war on terms determined by Hamas, we must demand a shift in both thought and direction from the Israeli government. The choice should not be full occupation, which could endanger the hostages, nor a ceasefire for Ramadan and Passover, which could also jeopardize them. Instead, a new strategy is required.

An Alternative Plan:

  1. Dividing the Gaza Strip into horizontal zones from north to south.
  2. Every 48 hours without Hamas’s agreement to release all hostages, the IDF will seize another horizontal zone, evacuate any remaining or returning Gazan civilians, demolish all standing structures, destroy known tunnels, and prepare the area for a new future.
  3. The IDF will secure the cleared zones and prevent Gazans from returning.
  4. The future of these zones will be determined in coordination with U.S. President Donald Trump, potentially serving as an initial framework for the “Trump Plan.”
  5. The release of all hostages will temporarily halt the further clearing of horizontal zones, but the IDF will not withdraw from them until Hamas agrees to disarm and leave Gaza, paving the way for a fresh start.
