A Flag-Burning in Philadelphia

I would not.

Ever.  Never.

It is not something that I find acceptable. However, if some individual wishes to protest and burn the American flag, and if that individual lives here in the USA and if that individual is an American citizen, then that is a right that is protected by the “Freedom of Speech” First Amendment to our constitution.

Again, I would not EVER burn the American flag. I have too much respect for it and what it represents. I have too much respect, both as a citizen and someone with the utmost respect for the women and men who protect our liberty who stand behind what this flag means.

And yet, there were those who decided yesterday, in Philadelphia, during the DNC, to burn not only an American flag, but the flag of Israel.

While doing so, these few ignorant and thoughtless people shouted the words INTIFADA, again and again.

FOOLS that you are! You have no idea what it was that you were doing, and what it was that you were saying. FOOLS that you are, burning a flag that represents not only Israel, but the Jewish people. Burning a flag when my people were murdered and burned in the ovens of the death camps? Burning a flag when Israel and the USA are the strongest of friends and allies?

You need to get educated. You need to learn to think before you act so FOOLISHLY and recklessly. And, yes, you need to apologize. Not to me.
