A Flame Centered Forward For Our Life Journey

A Flame Centered Forward For Our Life Journey

Torah Portion- Beha’alotecha (Numbers 8:1 – 12:16)

To light the candelabra with a flame,

Centered forward, is to prepare oneself

For life’s  journey with awakening trumpet calls,

Ensuring that one’s spark does ignite to alight

The way, not only for oneself but others,

Gathered, as a community, in unity

For a nation’s mission to repair the world

Continually, reaching for one’s destination.

Further and further, forever to strive

Beyond self-centered, deterrent cravings

To a future protected by sacred time and space,

Divinely blessed for a central purpose.

Just as the seven lamps of the menorah

Must burn to shine towards a center for all.
