A Note from A 2005 March Alumna

Sent to us by a MOLT 05 NJ/ NY group alumna – through our Facebook Page.

Eight years ago I was sitting in school and heard a speech about The March Of The Living. I went home and said to my parents I must go on this program. So I went and I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. It was the most remember able trip I have ever gone on.

Now I am teaching in a school and we had a program for Yom Hashoah and all I could think about was the march from Auschwitz to Birkenau with the thousands of people. This is something I will never forget it will always be with me in my life.

A survivor said to our group once she finished telling us her story that “NOW YOU ARE A SURVIVOR”. We all looked at each other and said no we are not. She went on to explain that we are because we are the next generation to go on and tell her story and so many others that wont be able to. That we will be able to fight off the people that don’t believe that the Holocaust happened, because we have the stories of the survivors.

Thank you Gabee London!
