Michel M.J. Shore

A Reflection for Rosh Hodesh Av

A Reflection for Rosh Hodesh Av

(For the personal and collective good)

When nothing can be said, or should be said,

Stillness is not an option but a must,

For the sake of all others and oneself.

Why is that a challenge for leaders, for us?

Why must hearing oneself, without purpose,

Be for aggrandisement and nothing else?

When care for all needs, one holds one’s tongue:

“He who conquers himself is greater than

He who conquers cities;” then all rally

Together, to support the cause for all

With words that bring all together, as one!
