Accommodating those who hate us — won’t work
In a recent poll, many US Jews feel that Israel committed genocide in Gaza. Presumably many of them see public opinion increasing against Israel; and they see rising antisemitism. So they figure that if they side with the antisemites, then the Jew-haters will like them.
It won’t work. Because as long as a Jew exists, the antisemites aren’t happy.
It’s an existential thing. The haters feel that Jews should not occupy their world. They resent that Jews have something which they don’t have — the Torah. They want the good things in Torah, but they don’t want the obligations.
So they figure, that the best way to deal with their void of not having the Torah, is: if they can’t have it, then no one should have it.
So by removing Jews from their world, they won’t feel their emptiness. Because if nobody has the Torah, then they won’t feel like they’re missing something that someone else has.
So it doesn’t matter what Jews do. They can offer the antisemites money. They can tell them that they agree with them, that Israel committed genocide. They can give the antisemites everything and anything. It won’t make a difference.
Because as long as there is a Jew, the antisemite feels an angst of emptiness.
So what can a Jew do? How can Jews survive?
By being true to their essential Jewishness, to their Jewish soul which is a veritable part of G-d. And just as G-d is not ruled by natural means, so too the Jewish people.
Jews are above nature. Nature has no rulership over them.
When Jews trust in G-d, and we reinforce our essential bond with our Father in heaven, then we open wide channels to receive the Almighty’s blessings.
And then, no matter what the antisemite wants to do, it won’t matter.
Because when Jews bond to higher, we rise above obstacles and limitations.
And then, we can transform the entire world into a place of peace, goodness, and a place where the Almighty’s presence is realized by all.
