Albanese preaches national unity, but he does not do it

He says he wants national unity. But when it comes to employing measures to ensure that there is national unity, that all people are treated equally, and that all people are protected equally, he is sorely lacking.

National unity is not achieved, when members of Isis or pro-Hamas demonstrators are allowed to openly demonstrate their hate.

National unity is not achieved, when anti-Jewish rhetoric is allowed to flourish unabated. National unity is not achieved, when some people are more equal than others.

Australian Prime Minister Antony Albanese says that he wants national unity. But how do you propose to have national unity, when a mass shooting on Bondy Beach was allowed to happen for lack of required foresight and proactive due diligence?

How do you achieve national unity, when groups fostering hate  are not sufficiently and appropriately monitored, to ensure that they don’t present a danger to society?

How do you promote national unity, when the nation is not united, due to the government allowing certain groups to plan harm to other members of society?

How do you promote national unity, when you won’t face up to your lack of policies aimed towards national unity?

Albanese wants national unity. What his actions show, is that he’d rather gain the votes of extreme radicals in order to stay in power.

You can’t have national unity, when you are not taking steps to unite the nation. You can’t have national unity, when you don’t have the decency to ensure that all segments of society, including vulnerable minorities, are protected.

You can’t have national unity, when you allow hate to continue unabated and unchecked.

Prime Minister Albanese: do you really want national unity? Or do you just want national unity for some but not for others?

Prime Minister Albanese: it’s time to get off your high horse. It’s time to go visit the Jewish victims who are lying in the hospital, to visit the families of Jews who have lost loved ones in the shooting, and to hear what they feel is important in order to achieve national unity.

Albanese may be clueless, or he may have an agenda. But the momentum in the world is moving towards societies that want to protect minorities, and want to ensure that there is global unity for all civilization and for all of humanity.

Albanese, you can jump on the train and be part of the movement to create a peaceful world, or you can neglect getting on that train and you can just miserably watch as your call for national unity is not backed up by concrete and sensible action.

The train is moving. The momentum is strong. If you jump on that train, then your legacy will be one of national unity and indeed a step towards global unity.
