By now, we’ve heard it all. Abraham was Muslim/Palestinian, Moses was Muslim/Palestinian, Jesus was Muslim/Palestinian, all of Israel is Muslim/Palestinian, and the Wailing Wall is Muslim/Palestinian.
So what is the problem of the fanatics that claim that in fact, all Jews are Muslim/Palestinian? Truthfully, I believe that all Jews are Palestinian.
So, the problem for these aggressive extremists is that most of the Palestinians are Jews and not Muslims. It’s hatred for Jews, one of the oldest revulsions in the world (already found in the Book of Genesis).
And it’s not just hatred or revulsion. It is a violent hatred, a wish to harm and kill. The pretexts are updated through the ages but the sentiment stays eerily the same: Let’s exterminate/remove all Jews. The genocide by the Nazis is infamous, sometimes leading people to assume that all deep Jew-haters want to actually kill all the Jews. But that’s untrue.
Genocide can also be an attempt to erase a People by trying to remove their culture, customs, religion, language, beliefs, mindset, history, etc.
So, not every fanatical Jew-hater is a racist out to remove ‘Jewish DNA’ (which does not exist). What all antisemites have in common is that they base their hatred on lies. Antisemitism is not an opinion because it’s based on lies. It suffices to be honest to uproot antisemitism in our hearts.
There are several categories of lies. Here are some:
- Jews are not like all humans. (They are inferior/superior/not human. Therefore, killing them is a service to humanity / removes their dangerous hold on humanity/is allowed like picking flowers.)
- Jews are immoral. (They’re only OK if they change religion or spread antisemitism/they’re genetically evil and must be wiped out.)
- Jews are Jewish before they are anything else. (Therefore, it doesn’t matter if they are friendly, loving, helpful, generous, civilized.)
- It is OK to envy Jews. (They stole what they have/they take more than others/they claim privilege. (Really, they just work harder.))
An eternal truth: It’s lovely to be a Jew and to have Jews as friends.
