An Open Letter to President Trump – part 2

Dear President Trump,

I supported your campaign and voted for you. However, the first 100 days of your presidency makes me doubt that decision.

Recently I complimented your idea of relocating the Gazans as the only logical path to peace. I wrote about sending the Gazans to Turkey and Qatar since they love and have supported Hamas for the past decade. I suggested the US air bases in both countries be closed down to show them that we’re serious. I also suggested that a way be found to remove Turkey from NATO if Erdogan continues his belligerence toward Israel and other allies. (He supported the coup in Syria and is increasing his control over that country with plans to recreate a Caliphate.)

When you took office, you used strong language of support for Israel and against Iran and its proxies. However, in your first 100 days, you have proclaimed: “President Erdogan is a friend of mine. He’s a guy I like, respect.” (January 2025). Erdogan is a dictator who rigs elections by locking up the opposition, supports Hamas and other terror groups including the former al Qaeda affiliated Islamic terrorists who now control Syria and randomly kill any non-Moslems they find. Is this how you pick your friends?

Then there is the inspiration for this piece: Qatar. The Qataris are not unbiased negotiators like you and the media would have us believe. They have been supporting terrorism via Al Jazeera and have housed Hamas for decades. Mr. Trump, you appointed Steve Witkoff, who had no prior international negotiating experience, to oversee negotiations in the Middle East. I became suspicious when news came out that Witkoff was bailed out of a business deal by Qataris to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. News also surfaced that Qatar has been undermining our higher education by funding billions of dollars into universities to support the radical, leftist Islamic narrative. They recently convinced Hamas not to agree to the Egyptian ceasefire and to hold out for more. And finally, your son Eric Trump is pictured signing a multi-billion dollar deal to create a Trump resort in Doha. Although it may be legal for your son to do this deal, it certainly raises questions about Qatar’s influence in your presidency. I might even suggest that it has the same odor as Hunter Biden’s efforts in Ukraine.

You started your term by saying that Iran had 60 days to remove their nuclear option or else. Then you slowly have sat down with them to where you even suggested that they may continue to enrich uranium for “civilian purposes”. It sounds very much like the JCPOA that you condemned and cancelled in your first term. The truth is I’m more worried about Qatar than Iran. Iran is very boisterous but can likely be destroyed before they get the nuke in the air. The Qataris are much more devious to get to their objective of destruction of Western civilization. They have spent several decades laying the groundwork by infiltrating democracies all over Europe and the US to the point where sharia law is competing with democratic systems in various countries.  And now with Witkoff’s and Eric’s allegiances to Doha I fear that you will lose your focus on truth, justice and most importantly democracy.

As a postscript, I ask you Mr. President, why did you acquiesce to the Houthis when they agreed to stop shooting at ships but ignored their continued belligerence to Israel. You left Israel out in the cold when you made the deal with the Houthis. Who convinced you to throw Israel “under the bus”? Qatar or Iran?
