Analysis May Lead to an Addiction
Analysis may lead to an addiction
that’s based on psychotherapeutic fiction.
Imaginary illness of the mind
cannot be cured till truth is left behind
with reconstruction of all that is factual
so that it seems to be no longer actual,
while the analysand who’s now addicted
agrees with how he/she has been depicted.
Distortion of belief thus makes anal-
ysis as false, and make more banal,
as the distortion of belief by priest
or rabbi, the indoctrination yeast
supposed to cause the subject’s mind to leaven.
The endpoint, mental health or heaven,
depends on the modality employed
by priest or rabbi, Adler, Jung or Freud.
Though all have now become somewhat archaic,
none may be challenged by those who are laic,
at least that’s what high priests of both maintain,
with fictions that can drive their flesh insane,
though since they are addicted, they can’t kick
the habit which the high priests get to pick.
