Another ‘boycott’ amendment from the British House of Commons

Even as pandering British politicians seek to somehow make matters worse in the Middle East; this same nation whose history includes so very, many years of colonization and its own brutality, patently refuse to condemn the Hamas Charter calling for the murder of every Jewish Israeli man, woman and child.

They don’t demand that the again increasing terror attacks on Israelis and in Israel cease immediately. They don’t call for the control of outright corruption in the PA or suggest to Abbas that he show leadership – real leadership – on the West Bank and to rein in his own rogue elements.

Israel has lots to work on itself but the British politicians also need to look in their own mirror; ask themselves why racist right wing parties like Ukip are doing so well and winning seats in their Parliament. Apparently, these same MPs so focused on Israel seem to not have enough to do at home.

The British politicians also clearly don’t have the backbone to identify that it is not just Palestinians who should have a right for recognition, independence/autonomy and to live in a secure peace but that Israel has the exact same right to recognition and to live in a secure peace as well. To pretend that Israel is the soul ‘villain’ is akin to a child being targeted by a playground bully who hasn’t a clue how big of a prat he really is.

When these self indulgent British politicians make both sides of that same coin clear and invest in the full process will they present as anything but the ultimately self-indulgent neo anti-Semites which they apparently are based on the recurring conflicted and counterproductive behavior in which they continue to engage. Rather than contributing to a real long term solution, they look only to personally feel good, cheap histrionic politics and drawing media attention to themselves.
