Jewish community in Ohio dodged a bullet after a terrorist who was planning on shooting up synagogues on a Saturday morning was arrested and taken into custody.
USA Today wrote, ” Damon M. Joseph, charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State, was arrested late Friday after allegedly praising the October attack on a Pittsburgh synagogue and taking possession of two semi-automatic rifles from an undercover FBI agent.”
If the FBI would not have been on top of their game we would have had another tragedy on our hands of other Jews being massacred in a synagogue.
Left wing people love to say how most of the danger to Jews comes from the right wing extremists, but they neglect to think about the Muslim extremists who also wish to do harm.
American Jews need to arm themselves and be prepared for a possible attack on their community like other Jews throughout the world.
Jews in Europe and South America have military personnel guarding their institutions that when I was in Spain four years ago and wanted to go pray the evening prayer I had to present my Israeli passport and the security guard stood behind a bullet proof glass window and checked to see if I was Jewish.
I am opposed to having non-Jews protecting Jews, instead I believe Jews should be the only ones who should be taking care of their security and not rely on non Jews for protection.
“In his subsequent communications with undercover agents, Joseph allegedly expressed his support for “martyrdom operations,” and the October attack on the Pittsburgh synagogue, which left 11 dead( Johnson 2018).”
You do not have to be a white supremist to be inspired by a white supremist action to want to carry out a similar attack in the name of your ideology.
If it would not have been for his posts on social media the FBI may not have caught him so, regardless of what a person’s political leanings maybe Jews need to train in fire arms and prepare for a possible attack.
