As-A-Jew Atonement Time, 2026 Edition
As we kick off the new (Jewish) year, a question: Who was the worst As-A-Jew of 5786? Who did the most damage, pushed the most lies, endangered the most fellow members of Am Yisrael?
Each year, these folks spout antisemitic drivel, and insist that their own Jewishness justifies it. They’re the useful idiots (or “infidels”), the supporters of rapidly-growing Islamist terrorism, the modern-day bad guys of the Hanukkah history.
If they really viewed their Jewishness as core to who they are, they’d stop the lies and start doing teshuva. Who has the most to atone for this year?
The nominees
Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor
The easiest way to get an instant following is to create propaganda for an established hate movement. That’s what Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor have done with their new, nonsensical, so-called “documentary” which carries the repugnant title “NAZA.”
Abraham is already an Oscar-winning propagandist. His film with Szor just won a prize from the Venice Film Festival – the same institution that awarded Leni Riefenstahl’s Nazi film Triumph of the Will its Best Foreign Documentary award. As excellent military analyst Andrew Fox noted, both are “pure propaganda.”
Brad Lander
He hitched his political wagon to NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, for whom antisemitism and hypocrisy are core, foundational building blocks of governing. Brad Lander, Democratic nominee for Congress, beat out fellow Jewish New Yorker Dan Goldman by echoing the worst lies about Israel. His highest-paid consultant was a deranged antisemite who tries to blame Israel and Jews for everything from 9/11 to the Kennedy assassination.
Yet Lander was still berated and told to leave a far-left event recently for being a “Zionist.” The incident was caught on video, so he couldn’t pretend it never happened. Nevertheless, he doubled down on his AAJ status, starting a missive with “As a Jewish New Yorker” before repeating the most ludicrous lies of AZHM, the Antizionist Hate Movement.
Ed Miliband
The UK’s foreign secretary wants to win over the supporters of Islamist terrorism who have overtaken much of the country. So while citing his own Jewish background, he feeds them a steady diet of propaganda. At The Telegraph, columnist Nicole Lampert assailed Ed Miliband’s “cynical video” packed with antisemitic lies. “But when was the truth important in the revolting propaganda war against Israel, which started even as its civilians were being killed on October 7 nearly three years ago?”
Nations across the West are endangering their own security by turning their backs on Israel, the world leader in providing intelligence to detect and thwart Islamist terrorism. Lampert said Israel is striding “away from Europe, seeing our continent’s moral blindness to the Islamist extremism they are fighting. Do we want to be left shouting from the sidelines?”
Hannah Einbinder
Hollywood has more than its share of loud propagandists who cloak their antisemitism in “progressive” language. The loudest, most disturbing of all these days is Hannah Einbinder, the actress/activist who was on this list last year as well. Since then, she has stayed busy pushing the latest talking points from the world’s most antisemitic organizations, and attempting to justify equally shameless antisemites like Mark Ruffalo.
