Cindy Silverman is the grandchild of Holocaust survivors who escaped Vienna in 1939 and the great-grandchild of four Holocaust victims. A school psychologist and Holocaust remembrance advocate, she serves on the executive board of 3G Philly, a nonprofit focused on Holocaust remembrance and education in the greater Philadelphia region. She shares her grandparents' story widely, in schools, with community groups, and with anyone willing to bear witness. She is working on You Shouldn't Know From This: Letters from Nazi Vienna, a hybrid memoir built around a discovered family archive. Her essay "It Didn't End" was published in White Rose Magazine in May 2026.
She was featured on Chosen For What, the podcast of the Foundation for Genocide Education, in June 2026. She is working on her first book, You Shouldn't Know From This: Letters from Nazi Vienna.
