David Makovsky is the Ziegler Distinguished Fellow and director of the Koret Project on Arab-Israel Relations at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. He is the author of 'Making Peace with the PLO: The Rabin Government’s Road to the Oslo Accord,' (HarperCollins/Westview, 1995).
