About Me

Gus is a journalist, analyst, and scholar with a firm focus on the Middle East and the Horn of Africa. He has worked, studied, and lived across the MENA region, such as Jordan, Israel, Palestine, Somaliland, and Kenya. Currently he leads as the Editor-in-Chief for an online media publication; he is based between London and the Gulf Cooperation Council. He has conducted exclusive interviews with the Foreign Minister of Somaliland in Hargeisa, whilst covering the war in Sudan in addition to the ICJ trial at The Hague, between Sudan and the UAE. Gus holds a MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern studies, with Arabic (Fusha, Levantine), from the University of Oxford.
