Liron Rose is an Israeli entrepreneur, investor, author, and public thinker whose work focuses on economics, national resilience, leadership, and Israel’s long-term future.
He is the creator and host of The Owl podcast, a platform for thoughtful, in-depth conversations with leading figures from business, academia, national security, public policy, and Israeli society. The podcast seeks to enrich both the mind and the spirit by exploring the ideas, values, strategic questions, and economic forces shaping Israel and the wider world.
At the heart of Rose’s work is a deep commitment to public engagement. He is a co-founder of the Massad Haaretz Institute, where he leads the institute’s economic field and takes part in developing policy ideas, public initiatives, and long-term strategies designed to strengthen Israel’s economic foundations, institutional capacity, social resilience, and national direction.
Through his work at the institute, his podcast, his writing, and his participation in public discourse, Rose promotes informed debate on some of the most important issues facing Israel. His public activity connects economic thinking with questions of leadership, responsibility, identity, security, and national renewal.
Rose brings to this work more than two decades of experience in the Israeli technology and investment sectors. He founded AfterDownload, which was later acquired by ironSource, and subsequently became an active venture capital investor in prominent Israeli technology companies. He also led Techstars’ accelerator activity in Israel, supporting entrepreneurs and strengthening the connection between Israeli innovation and the global business community.
A reserve major and former officer in Israeli Military Intelligence, Rose holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics and Management, as well as an MBA from Tel Aviv University. He is also the author of Entrepreneurship and Investments at Eye Level, a book that draws on his experience as an entrepreneur and investor to examine decision-making, perseverance, success, and personal meaning.
