Miriam Schler is the Founder and Executive Director of Kehilanu: Helping Israel Heal, a non-profit responding to Israel’s unprecedented trauma crisis through a dual focus on individual and collective healing. With more than three decades of experience in the trauma treatment field, including over twenty years as former Executive Director of the Tel Aviv Sexual Assault Crisis Center, Miriam founded Kehilanu to help transform trauma from an experience of isolation into one of connection, mutual support and community resilience. Through scalable, evidence-based models—including professionally led therapeutic support groups and Trauma-Informed Community Building—Kehilanu focuses particularly on populations whose suffering often remains unseen. Her work is guided by the belief that healing people help others heal.
