Rabbi Naamah Kelman was the first woman ordained in Israel in 1992, at the Hebrew Union College where she served many roles over 25 years. She retired as Dean in 2023. She continues to be involved in various programs there. She remains active in the promotion of Religious Pluralism, Jewish Feminism and Interfaith/Shared Society as well as strengthening the connections between Israel and the Diaspora. She resides in Jerusalem.
