About Me
Sara Mason Ader, Life Member, Hadassah New England, is a freelance writer and editor living in the Boston area. Her career began 30 years ago in New York as a reporter for Wall Street publications, covering IPOs and small-cap stocks. After relocating to Boston and earning a Master’s degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, Sara joined Cerulli Associates—a boutique research and consulting firm specializing in asset management—for the launch of its monthly research publication entitled The Cerulli Edge. The immediate success of the Edge led to a family of spin-off publications over the next few years. Sara left Cerulli Associates in late 2004 to kick off a freelance career that has included a diverse range of writing and editing projects for various publications and businesses. She also co-created, writes and edits a blog exploring the concept of friendship. As a Hadassah Life Member since childhood, Sara began her involvement through Young Judaea camps, conventions and clubs. She is currently a member of a four-generation Hadassah family and has served as president of the South Coastal chapter of Hadassah New England for 10 years. In addition to Hadassah, Sara has volunteered with numerous organizations in her community and has served as board chair of the Children’s Melanoma Prevention Foundation. Sara’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Medill School at Northwestern and the U.S. State Department’s Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals.
