Zara (short for Zarachti) Nur is a writer based in Michigan's forested Upper Peninsula on the shores of Lake Superior. They write and are a contributor to the sustainability news site Green Prophet, covering topics ranging from plants, to alternate medicine, psychedelic medicine, ecological cultural practices, agricultural robotics, and whatever is relevant to creating sustainable goodness. They are a reconnecting Jew from a relatively secular and isolated upbringing, finding joy in community and seeking peace through belonging and understanding. Navigating a political world as a religious and spiritual person who nonetheless sees a need to participate in the discussion of how our decisions shape the world.
