Awakening and the power of the citizens

I never thought that I would get to the age of 96 and write a letter to my fellow citizens in such horror. Not for this did I make aliyah straight after graduating at the time of the establishment of the State of Israel, after receiving a state scholarship and studying at the London School of Economics to having the pleasure of participating in making history and not just studying history.

I was envied by others for the opportunity of creating a dynamic humane society for mankind to look up to. Now we are faced with this chaotic incomprehensible poisonous struggle for despotism. The process of turning democracy to totalitarianism is a process that many of us elders have witnessed.

When in my workshops on exploring aging when I asked is there nothing good about old age and one of the participants said — “We don’t need to worry about the future.” We are on the edge of it!!! Are we too late? Do we care about the future of our children?

But don’t give in, if you give in it will take hundreds of years to get out of it. Don’t forget, we are witnessing the power of our citizens.
