As armies fight and clash

far into the night

brawn and might aghast

looking for some light

as peace seems to stay

far away from us

as armies in the fray

fight and lick the dust

as regions shake and sway

not knowing what will come

as people stop to pray

hoping war is done

we look up to the bright

luminous sky above

we sing and praise our G-d

and express our love

on those glorious days

when war and fighting’s done

when bullets melt away

and all the bombs are gone

when G-dliness shines for all

and no one fears another

when mankind shines so tall

and everyone’s like a brother

when Moshiach will lead us

along the proper path

and nothing can defeat us

and no one lives in the past

in that special time

when mankind lives once more

we’ll thank the Lord our G-d

now and forever more
