“Bamboo,” a sensory journey to the heart of Jerusalem
With its sunny terrace sheltered away from cars on the corner of Emek Refaim and Hamelitz streets in the German Colony neighborhood, “Bamboo”, this charming flower shop in search of novelty in the composition, also offers to reveal its floral universe over a cup of coffee with a pastry or a glass of wine and chocolates: a small taste of the Garden of Eden.
Anna, the owner of this “sensory concept store”, pays special attention when choosing the flowers. Each time she makes her purchases for the week, she will first look for quality in the seasonal flowers, choosing those that can last between 8 and 10 days. Next is the originality, by trying to mix flowers and vegetation that is not often found at other florists. It is by closely observing nature, a constantly renewed source of inspiration, which Anna tries to recreate this harmony and such special forms, “this proof that it is beautiful, it is fresh, it works. It is harmony or not. It is just like with a painting, we create until finding the right rhythm, the true energy.” A bouquet is like a beautiful dress, an arrangement “more than just dresses an interior, it is sublime, it embellishes, it fills it with life.”
For the joy to give and receive, flowers and plants have that “je ne sais quoi”, the ephemeral and fragile sweetness, the life that is part of the creation of time, coming and going, inexorably renewing itself. Anna’s pleasure is to have each week a different interior, a new energy, according to her mood, her desires, and to play. The happiness of making someone happy. It is also a whole line of fragrances … and flavors; more than a wide selection of flowers, plants and bouquets, at “Bamboo” one can find gift ideas including home fragrances and soft perfumes, exclusive chocolates and wines.
“Bamboo” will welcome Jerusalem lovers for a special Valentine’s Day on Sunday, February 14th, around floral arrangements specially created based on the “love red” theme and wine and chocolates tasting.
