Bibi’s Cure For Unemployment

If Barack Obama could do what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing, he might be able to bring the nation's unemployment numbers down from their current 8.2 percent closer to Israel's 7.1 percent.

YNET reports Netanyahu, who already presides over one of the most bloated cabinets in Israeli history, has offered "key ministerial positions" to Kadima members who defect and join his Likud party.

They'll be getting more than a title; the perks that go with the job include extra compensation and other allowances; staffing; expense accounts for travel, hotels and food; medical insurance; a car and driver, assorted sycophants and hangers-on and an office in Jerusalem and another in Tel Aviv.  And at no extra cost they will have a perch for watching their old party disintegrate under the inept leadership of Shaul Mofaz, who surprised everyone by joining the Netanyahu coalition and 70 days later pulled it out to take it down the road to Splitsville.

There already are 30 ministers in Netanyahu's cabinet – a quarter of the Knesset — and there's no telling how many more he might buy.  By comparison, that would be like President Obama expanding his cabinet from 15 to 133. By Netanyahu's standard, that would require 118 Republicans to switch to the Democratic party.

Just think of the thousands of new jobs that could create.
