Bibi’s one success: Israel is CBD-rein
Of course I can’t prove it’s Bibi; I’ll address that later
This government has virtually completed just one more travesty causing harm to a great many citizens. Without legislation and actually without any public knowledge.
You cannot get CBD oil in Israel now.
Israel took CBD off the Schedule 1 of “dangerous drugs” (yes, it was there, the only place on the planet to the best of my knowledge) in February 2022. That was the work of that “other” government, you know, the ones who couldn’t be trusted with SECURITY.
As a result, many nature-loving healers began to import freely. With a phone call you could have it shipped in a day.
Then the “ALL-RIGHT” government returned.
On that very day customs started confiscating CBD shipments.
Then customs was weaponized and confiscations would last 4 -6 months, enough to make make any importation business not sustainable. Gradually the importers just stopped.
Just last week a new nail fastened to the coffin. People who had been importing from abroad for personal use had shipments confiscated by customs because they did not possess some permission from the Ministry of Health. Of course, they had never been told they needed such permission, and I actually doubt that any mechanism to gain such permission exists.
Here’s what Claude says on this:
“However, there is a general mechanism for importing unapproved medications:
Under the Pharmacists Ordinance, the Ministry of Health provides a pathway for personal importation of unapproved medications under specific conditions: the medication must be essential for treating a life-threatening condition, there must be no suitable alternative available in Israel, and a licensed Israeli physician must attest to the necessity.”
There was one Health Store in Jerusalem from which a client of mine told me she was regularly buying CBD. I was delighted and passed the information on to my desperate clients. BUT I went there yesterday and was able to buy (for myself) the LAST bottle of 24% CBD apparently in all of Bibistan. And I was told the bad news that their shipments were also being confiscated.
Well done, Bibi. I am sure BigPharma must be delighted!
In the meantime “Autistic” children have no access to CBD except for the “license for medical cannabis” which requires them to take antipsychotic medication first (again smiles from BigPharma, no?”
In the meantime the hundreds of children from the “Gaza Envelope” (NOT my translation!) whom I have seen personally and probably thousands more, for whom the only treatment that relieves their terrible PTSD is CBD can go to Hell (or see a neurologist who will prescribe Ritalin (BigPhrama, no?) that often in my experience makes PTSD worse.
I do not personally know that this great achievement belongs to Bibi. But here is what makes me more than suspect that it is:
- Yuval Landschaft has been the director of the medical cannabis unit for more than ten years. He was directly appointed by the PM without any public tender for five years. The rest? It is quite unusual…
- When I asked some major haredi rabbinic figures years ago to speak with then (Acting?)Health Minister Haredi Rabbi Litzman, I was told that he told them “cannabis is managed over my head”. Just recalling that when Litzman was Acting Minister, the ministry was in the hands of no other than Bibi.
- Bibi’s return as PM marked the immediate weaponizing of Customs.
Anyone can put the puzzle together as they wish.
So as a child psychiatrist with direct experience of the benefits of CBD oil for many children on the “Autistic Spectrum” and many children horribly impacted by October 7, I call for a public investigation immediately of this singular cynical “success”!
Prediction: The press will ignore it as will the government. Nothing succeeds like success!
