Blows My Mind When Life Aligns

Are we ever satisfied? I find it amusing when I hear the word “satisfying” by kids of all ages describing their sensory sensations. Gratitude is an important tool to use in our personal and professional lives. I feel if the Pros outweigh the Cons, in most situations, we have to go with the flow and do our best.

We acquire so many skillsets through our life experiences, and people that meet us at different points of our lives, have no idea of all the different aspects of our expertise. Some people from a young age, or even once they discover their talent and passion, hone in on it fully, and that is who they are. Then there are artists, creatives and those of us with talents that do not fit in a box, and who we are and what we do is unique in our energy, abilities and approach.

I am in awe that my new position is utilizing every aspect of everything that I have learned throughout my life. From my Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management, to teaching Yoga for 25 years as my own business, and even as a Doula, now I help birth ideas, personalities and energies. Even motherhood has shaped me into quite a mentor, combined with my husband’s more structured approach, and my be who you are, fly free and independent way of living my life in every moment.

When people meet you in a specific time of your life, that is all they know, and they are surprised at the different sides of you. It feels good to live in a world where you can choose to not care what people think of you, and live an authentic and fully present life giving love and feeling loved.

One way that I redirect my brain when I do not feel like I fit, when I am not appreciated, or when I am misunderstood, is to find the miracles in my everyday. Nothing is random, there are no coincidences and once you look back on your life, you clearly see that every choice and experience has created the exact version of you in this moment. It blows my mind when life aligns. I have always enjoyed feeling that every moment has led me to wherever I am meant to be. So I pause and make it a point to notice my surroundings, watch and listen to what is happening all around me. This week the chain of events was so strikingly odd, that it clearly shows that everything is God’s plan.

Last Sunday, I forgot my laptop at work, which is a 45 minute bus ride. My Monday was busy and full of meetings, one of them with a friend that is an artist, who invited me to her home for lunch and to show me her work. I realized one of my coworkers comes to Jerusalem in the morning, so I asked her to bring my computer. Luckily she only worked about a fifteen minute bus ride away, and I was so excited because there were two stores that I had been meaning to shop at, and never had time to go to that area. First thing on Monday, I went to my Torah class at my favorite cafe at seven in the morning. While on a phone call for work, I ran back home to meet a delivery guy that I had to meet in person to get some specific medications. Right after I jumped on a bus to get my computer, hoping to visit the two stores and make it back to my lunch date at noon. I found exactly what I needed at the first store, and then the big supermarket Osher Ad was my next stop for well priced basics for chicken soup. As soon as I walked in I see a blind woman asking for help, she only needed five things, and the woman she was asking was in a rush. I happily chatted with her, walked with her, got exactly what she needed. I realized that I would be late for lunch, and text my friend that I was doing my good deed for the day. It took an hour as she explained to me in detail what kind of yogurt she wanted, and she needed to touch the packet of eight to make sure it was correct. Everyone around us helped as she loudly asked for a specific brand of fabric softener, and the soft avocados, which luckily a Hebrew speaker helped explain to me exactly what she was looking for. I made it to lunch an hour late, it was delicious, and I joined my friend after to visit a magical art space and cafe, where anybody can come, set up shop and paint. Every moment I say THANK YOU HASHEM, when things work out, when things are hard and not going my way, and when I clearly see how every moment has led me to the next. I am exactly where I need to be. I am grateful for this blog to share my voice, and journey. I encourage you to share your authentic voice. Especially now to stand with the people of Iran. I am posting a lot on my social media to educate and support truth, freedom and using our voices loud and proud.

Now with Social Media, we are more connected than ever, for better or for worse. People feel bold to criticize from their screen. On one hand our lives are much easier and more efficient, but my favorite phrase is, technology is good when it works. When people compare themselves to the filtered, retouched and obviously super made up to perform, it is not real. We have to remind ourselves that it is not reality. Now, people are so fascinated with AI and in medicine, with professional writing, and many other ways, the collaboration, brainstorming and ideas at your fingertips are irrefutable. Where are you in this mix? Only you can pause, think, and change the presentation into something that is natural and comes from you. Nobody else can be you, and that is the beauty. There is no comparison or competition, and our ideas, thoughts and expressions are unique, cannot be duplicated and would not be born without you.

BE YOU.
