Booms, Construction and Shabbat in Jerusalem
Busses are running, we have to go grocery shopping later this afternoon, and this is the priority in Israel, to keep living. Especially when we have to get ready for Shabbat. Luckily we are good sleepers, and were able to get some decent sleep last night. We were all waking up when the 7:30 a.m. alert and quick siren right after had us running out our door to shelter. We heard some of the biggest booms yet, mostly from the Iron Dome saving our lives. Unfortunately, one of the rockets fell on a hospital further south, but miraculously where it hit had recently been evacuated.
When it was safe to go back, the construction that already started at 7 a.m. resumed. Life goes on, and it is always about life and living. That is how Jews know how to operate, especially with a strong Israel, protecting us and keeping us safe. Thank God!
Now to more important matters, today, we do our shopping for Shabbat. Our Jewish calendar takes priority over world events. God’s plan, and we have to turn off the world, rest and strengthen ourselves. We guard Shabbat and Shabbat guards the Jewish people. It is so powerful to surrender and know completely that everything is completely out of our hands. Hashem is in charge, period.
SEND THIS AND REACH OUT TO EVERYONE IN YOUR LIVES THAT FEELS LOST, CONFUSED AND OPEN TO TRUTH AS WE ALL WITNESS HISTORY UNFOLDING.
