On June 1st 2025, a pro-Palestinian terrorist attacked a Jewish event in Boulder, Colorado and severely injured 12 innocent people with a variety of firebombs, as well as a flamethrower.

Moreover, less than two weeks before the horrific terrorist attack in Boulder, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, were brutally murdered outside the Capital Jewish Museum by a pro-Palestinian extremist.

Unfortunately, the recent outbreak of antisemitic murder and terrorism is not at all a uniquely American issue.

Rather, since October 7th, Jewish people around the world have been rendered synonymous with the politics of the state of Israel, regardless of their own personal ideology or beliefs.

As a result, over the past year and a half, it has become tolerable and, in fact, ‘justified’ to persecute and inflict violence upon Jewish people and communities whenever the Israel-Palestine Conflict experiences one of its inevitable eruptions.

And Canada’s Liberal government is complicit.

Firstly, violent pro-Palestinian protests and rioters have been permitted to invade Jewish communities and menace innocent Jewish families under the guise of ‘political protest’.

For example, since October 7th, Toronto’s Jewish community has been forced to endure over 300 increasingly hostile pro-Palestinian protests, and, in major cities across Canada, such as Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, pro-Palestinian protestors have repeatedly been permitted to target, capture, and attack various locations and endroits that are fundamental to Jewish life, such as synagogues, schools, and even hospitals.

Alas, imagine the outcry that would erupt from all Liberals and liberals alike, if mosques across Canada were apt to be surrounded by hostile mobs and violent protestors, whenever terrorist organizations claimed another innocent life in France or attempted to orchestrate another mass-killing in the USA?

Moreover, on university and college campuses across Canada, pro-Palestinian protestors have been permitted to violently attack and persecute Jewish students and staff in a grotesque mockery of ‘free speech’ and ‘academic discourse’.

Full-scale antisemitic encampments and wombs of Jew-hatred have been constructed and tolerated on a plethora of university campuses, and, at countless universities across Canada, such as McGill University, the University of British Columbia, the University of Toronto, and Concordia University, Jewish students and faculty members have been inundated with grotesque antisemitic abuse, frenzied violence, and chilling threats of death and genocide.

And yet, imagine the visceral outrage and immediate action that would erupt throughout Canadian society and any Liberal government, if black or indigenous youths were suddenly being brutally attacked and slandered with racial epithets, as well as barred from attending classes or from setting foot on campus, simply because of their skin colour, ethnicity, and culture?

In truth, since October 7th, Canada’s Jewish community as a whole has been forced to link arms and confront the macabre reality that open antisemitic violence and terrorism are now an inevitable aspect of their daily life.

For instance, antisemitic hate-crime in Canada has skyrocketed by 670% since 2023, and, throughout 2024, Canadian society was forced to endure a record 6219 antisemitic incidents, or 17 outpourings of Jew-hatred per day. Furthermore, violent antisemitic hate-crime increased by 208% and 80% of Jews in Canada are now “concerned about antisemitism in their communities.”

In addition, gunshots have been fired into multiple Jewish schools and numerous prominent synagogues and schools across Canada have been firebombed. In fact, the Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre (ITAC) recently warned the Canadian government that Canada will likely “experience a lone-wolf terror attack soon…and antisemitism is overwhelmingly the motivating factor.”

Unfortunately, it is clear that the recent outbreak of antisemitic murder and terrorism in America has not remained confined to the USA.

Rather, since October 7th, Jewish people around the world have been rendered synonymous with the politics of the state of Israel, regardless of their own personal ideology or beliefs, and, as a result, over the past year and a half, it has become tolerable and, in fact, ‘justified’ to persecute and inflict violence upon Jewish people and communities whenever the Israel-Palestine Conflict experiences one of its inevitable eruptions.

More importantly, despite the fact that the Liberal Party has long declared itself to be a champion of all beleaguered and oppressed peoples throughout the international political system, it is readily apparent that Canada’s Liberal government is complicit in the baseless persecution and discrimination that has been meted out against Jewish people in Canada.

In fact, until the Liberal party admits that it has refused to stop the outbreak of antisemitism in Canada and begins to take earnest, emphatic, action to combat the surge of Jew-hatred throughout Canadian society, for Canada’s Jews, the recent terrorist attack in Boulder and the murder of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim will inevitably remain not merely tragic and horrifying echoes of an incomprehensible, intergenerational, hatred, but, rather, an ominous portent of the future for all Jews in Canada.
