Children’s Day Celebration at the Fortunée de Picciotto Israelite Association
The Fortunée de Picciotto Israelite Association held its traditional Children’s Day celebration on October 16. The event featured recreational activities and treats that delighted the children. Afterwards, they took part in an oral hygiene activity guided by dentists, since promoting dental health is one of the Association’s main areas of focus.
This is an event that moves me deeply and brings back childhood memories of everything I was deprived of due to my financial situation, shared Vivian de Picciotto, a Jewish-Lebanese immigrant and founder of the clinic.
Vivian’s life story is one of resilience and achievement. He arrived in Brazil with nothing and built a successful life here. As a way of giving back to the country that welcomed him, he decided to create an initiative capable of transforming the reality of those most in need. Thus, in 2014, the Fortunée de Picciotto Israelite Association was born.
About the Fortunée de Picciotto Israelite Association
Founded in 2014 by Jewish-Lebanese immigrant Vivian de Picciotto, the Association’s mission is to provide free, high-quality dental care for children in socially vulnerable situations. Today, it offers pediatric dentistry and ophthalmology services focused on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. In 2025 alone, more than 32,000 patients were served.
