Contract with American Jews: A New Agreement with American Jewry
As a former member of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) and a former donor to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and a former donor to the Orthodox Union (OU), I have created an official contract that describes the relationship and partnership between the United States and American Jewish citizens.
Similar to the Declaration of Independence and United States Constitution, this document solidifies the profound and unbreakable relationship between Jewish Americans and the United States.
Preamble
We the people of the United States, in order to bring American Jews into a more perfect union, establish justice and opportunity for Jewish Americans, insure tranquility in Jewish American families and communities, promote the general welfare of American Jews, and secure the blessings of liberty of all Jewish Americans and our posterity, do ordain and establish this official Contract with American Jews.
Corpus of Contract
As loyal and patriotic citizens of the United States, American Jews have formed a vital part of America since before our nation was founded. Fighting in all major wars and military conflicts and building the nation with bravery, American Jews through their blood, sweat, and tears have helped to build the United States into the world’s foremost democracy.
The providence of history necessitates the creation and establishment of the Contract with American Jews to set out a concrete agreement between the United States and its Jewish citizenry.
First, we, the American Jewish people, do hereby promise to remain loyal and patriotic citizens of the United States.
Second, we, the Jewish American people, do hereby promise to protect the national and global security of the United States and preserve America’s national security interests.
Third, we, the American Jewish people, expect to participate fully and completely in the American dream of freedom, prosperity, property ownership, educational opportunity, personal fulfillment, and the pursuit of happiness.
Conclusion
The American Jewish communities of the United States seek to include this contract with the founding documents of the American Republic in order to demonstrate that Jewish America is part and participle of the United States. As a single body, American Jewry hopes to improve our quality of life and economic opportunity in the United States of America; the land of the free and home of the brave.
Signatories
It is proposed that President Donald J. Trump and President Ronald Lauder of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) sign this Contract with American Jews to promote peace and security and tranquility in this vital strategic partnership.
