Do Something That Matters…

As the summer progresses in Israel, I am meeting more and more interns who are working for startups or in the various accelerators and workspaces around the country.

These are young adults – 20 to 23 years old, mostly from the U.S. and Canada, that show up with their laptops, dive in, and just go to work.

They not only bring their smarts, but they bring their passion for making change and making the world a better place. There are also interns in Palestine doing the same thing.

There is no better place in the world to make change, where change is constant, innovation is everywhere, in a backdrop that is a young country (founded in 1948) that goes back to the days of the Bible.

Now being based in Jerusalem and embedded as part of the Made in Jerusalem community, I am learning and being inspired by these bright you minds who are the future and the best brand ambassadors for the region upon their return to their respective college and universities.

Some will return throughout their college careers. Some will wind up moving here. I believe you can do a bit of both. It’s really up to you.

It’s really about creating your own reality, in the backdrop of Startup Nation.
