Earth

A planet within space, exactly the right distance from the sun.
(Further or closer would be devastating.)

A world of beauty, producing food and air to sustain many living things.

And people. Wondrous beings who can think and talk about right and wrong.

How should we use our world?

Grow things? Extract uranium that can blow up things?

How should we treat each other?

How should we treat ourselves?

Earth is a place where different entities meet. And where everyone has a role to play.

As we contemplate that role, the words of the prophet Isaiah (40; 26) come to mind.

“Raise your eyes heavenward, and see Who created this.”
