Fiesta Shalom at Panorama Mall
Israel can do with as many friends it can find. This time, they were found in Panorama City, San Fernando Valley.
Last Sunday, the Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles partnered with the Panorama Mall shopping center and hosted a Back-to-School event, promoting family, education and Israeli, American and Hispanic culture.
“Panorama Mall is proud to establish a long-term relationship with the Consulate General of Israel”, said Joman Wong, Senior Marketing Manager for Panorama Mall. We have always been a popular shopping, dining and entertainment destination, and by hosting fun special events, like Fiesta Shalom, we are extending our programming and include an aspect of new countries and their cultures.”
The real estate mogul, the Macerich Company, that owns Panorama Mall, the Legaspi Company, that oversees the Vanguardia properties, that includes Panorama Mall, owned by Macerich, and the Consulate General of Israel gave the 3500 attendees’ families a unique opportunity to look, touch, feel and hear Israeli and Hispanic cultures.
The event included thank you speeches from the official sponsors, live music, dance performances, food trucks, activities, community information booths, boutique vendors, giveaways, and a community presentation. The Latin-Grammy nominated Trio Ellas, Villalobos Brothers, and Sol Tevel, connected Hebrew roots while engaging world cultures with their reggae-inspired rhythms.
The inspiring event, Fiesta Shalom at Panorama Mall united many as one, celebrating shared values in education and culture.
The Consulate of Israel took pride to bring a piece of Israel to Panorama City, through interactive workshops, community booths and delicious food and the attendees were thrilled to see, hear and taste a little of Israel.
