Film Wizard

You are a film wizard;
Capable of black magic.
With your fingertips,
You have the power to distort.

With your postmodern spells,
And your electronic wand,
You have cast a shadow upon me;
Irremovable, dark, and everlasting.

I was once an angel in green,
Now banished,
From heaven’s pearly gates,
I quietly levitate in the ether;
A nefarious green phantom.

Your hexes, and false testimonies,
Have turned my dress uniform red.
I was pelted with virtual stones,
The blood of my future on your hands.

Now,
The 21st century beast has been appeased.
It’s ravenous appetite for hate:
Satisfied.
But only for a dying moment-

Your pursuit of false justice is unjust,
For you have hung the hangman!
Using his own noose,
You kicked him off of the chair.

Exposing the last doctor to disease,
Humiliating the king’s jester with humour,
Drowning the weary sailor in the ocean,
All for the approval of the gods of the online.

All for glory and love from whom?
Faceless, and nameless entities;
A collection of keyboard clicks,
Usernames on an overzealous odyssey.

And you are overzealous.

You are a film wizard;
Capable of black magic.
With your fingertips,
You use your power to distort.
