Finally enough snow in Jerusalem
My first blog for Times of Israel last year made fun of the hype and the lame amount of snow we had in Jerusalem, Israel. Today things have certainly changed and there is no excuse to use a 20-year-old photo any longer.
It has snowed,
and snowed,
enough to fill the streets
and cover everything with a blanket of white. But inches of snow on the compressor does little to warm the house
and certainly was not good for the lemon tree.
The whirling white stuff settled
on the walkways,
and the city was covered,
even the red roofs of Nachlaot were covered in white.
For a short time the sky over the Knesset building was a bright blue.
OK, now after all the talk and more than enough snow and we have enough photos to last for the next 20 years.
And who could imagine, I am almost ready to hear more talk about the elections. Now who could have imagined that?
