Four exciting new Jewish organizations in 2021
I served honorably in both the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the United States Army. I am an active member of the American Legion veterans organization. I am also an international attorney. Based on my military and professional experiences, I have created four new Jewish organization for the betterment of Jewish communities around the world.
Israel Defense Foundation (IDF)
The mission of this foundation is to serve as an international fundraising organization. Unparalleled in the Jewish philanthropic world, the Israel Defense Foundation’s strategic vision has been and always will be, to ensure a strong, secure, and prosperous future for the land and people of Israel. Everything we do—every project, initiative, and campaign we take on—is integral to our vision of building and connecting to our land.
Israel Defense Organization (IDO)
The mission of the IDO is to offer educational, cultural, and social service programs and facilities that provide hope, purpose, and support for the soldiers who protect Israel and Jewish communities worldwide. The IDO is a non-political, defense-oriented organization that provides for the wellbeing of the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Jewish soldiers serving in other militaries.
Israel Defense Congress (IDC)
The IDC is an international organization that represents Jewish communities and organizations worldwide. It advocates on their behalf towards governments, parliaments, international organizations, and other faiths. The IDC represents the plurality of the Jewish people and is politically non-partisan.
Israel Defense University (IDU)
Israel Defense University came into being through the dedicated efforts of visionaries who foresaw the need for an additional online university. It is my privilege to serve as founder and chancellor of this prestigious institution. But it is not only a privilege; I also bear a weighty responsibility toward the academic faculty, administrative and technical staff, students, and supporters around the world, as well as to Israeli society. I am proud to take on this responsibility.
Conclusion
Similar to the Anti-Defamation League, Jewish National Fund, and World Jewish Congress, our overall mission is to stop the defamation of the Jewish people, and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. Our Jewish values inform our work and the progress we seek in the world. These values guide the strategy and tactics of all of our programs and activities internationally, nationally, and locally.
Our mission is to strengthen and expand the U.S.-Israel relationship and Israel’s international relationships in ways that enhance the security of Israel and its allies. We engage with and educate decision-makers about Israeli values, and how it is in the world’s best interest to strengthen those bonds and help ensure that Israel remains safe, secure, and strong.
