Hadar Muchtar and the Long Lost Logic

Breaking into our lives throughout the elections for the 25^th Knesset in 2022, disappearing from public life during her service in the IDF, and reemerging towards the 2026 elections, Hadar Muchtar has been one of the most notable politicians on social media this past year, advocating mainly for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and against “the leftists” in Israel. She also attempted to run in the Likud party primaries but was rejected for insufficient seniority. But as with many other politicians, there are a few critical flaws in both her actions and the very roots of the dialogue she is engaging in that are somewhat unclear when reviewing them properly.

The first time I encountered Hadar Muchtar was through one of her videos on “TikTok,” in which she expressed the urgent need for a solution to Israel’s housing crisis back in 2021. Around the same time, she also launched her party, “Fiery Youth,” which she was too young to run as the leader of. She stood in front of the camera and spoke logically about the ridiculous prices young people, like her, face when searching for a place to live. Soon after, a reporter on Israeli Channel 12 reported that Muchtar owns an apartment in Haifa. Of course, she claimed that it was actually her parents’ house, purchased under her name, and that she wasn’t living in it at all, a claim that couldn’t help but draw public attention to the legality of this arrangement that was certainly questionable.

The main problem that can’t go unnoticed in a great variety of Muchtar’s public statements is the obscure logic behind her claims. When looking at her cluttered mess of TikTok videos she calls a career, this is one of the guiding lines she keeps cultivating. Throughout a change from focusing on the just struggle against the cost of living in Israel into a messy, relentless fight against the Israeli leftists, Arabs, and overall whoever dares to vote differently and advocate for peace and coexistence, one thing remains unchanged – the lack of logic and the alternative truths.

One of the brightest examples of this false logic is a video from December 2025 posted on Muchtar’s TikTok account. In the video, she meets another Likud member (Benjamin Netanyahu’s party) named Rafi Kdoshim – a social activist and the head of the Kdoshim crime family who served time in Israeli prison for various felonies such as extortion and violence. In the video, Muchtar asks the man excitedly, “Rafi Kdoshim, how many academic degrees do you have?” Kdoshim starts to elaborate about his, ironically, criminology degree and his intention to study law next, perhaps to be better at not breaking it. But then Muchtar asks him the question that really matters: “So why do the Israeli leftists still call you a criminal?” Israeli social media, especially the sectors that speak out about political events, tried unsuccessfully to understand the vague connection between those two facts.

The problem here is not the blunt attempt to show the public that somehow, Kdoshim’s criminology degree atones for his actions, but the cheapening of logic, truth, and criticism that Muchtar is producing. And it is not just those two incidents. Muchtar is using this method systematically and repeatedly. Some will call this phenomenon fake news, but there is something far more dangerous in Muchtar’s actions – she deliberately tries to strip the political dialogue in Israel of its most important quality: fair, logical discussion. In her world, the limitations and the fetters of logic apply only to those who criticize the government. At the same time, she uses two completely unrelated facts to justify and rehabilitate the reputation of a man who, according to a court ruling, is guilty of several serious offenses.

In the world according to Hadar Muchtar, there will no longer be a place for a critical discussion. There will no longer be a need to justify one’s arguments or speak with sense. By simply connecting two facts with no affinity to each other, she creates what she calls an argument and demands that it be accepted and understood by others. It is not just the misleading statements she uses, but also the attempt to change how we criticize whatever post is next on our feed, whatever claim we are facing, and whose past and mistakes we uncover. At the same time, she tries to disconnect them from reality by claiming it is no longer valid because of their academic education. And this, the attempt to demolish logic and truth, the very building blocks of every argument and every dialogue, the tools we all use when trying to justify ourselves and the tools society is using since the days of Socrates – this is what should truly scare each and every one of us.
