Hamas is in a pickle — and the world shines
The last living hostages were released. (Four dead hostages are still not released.)
Hadar Goldin’s body (which had been in Gaza for over a decade) was released.
Two hundred Hamas fighters are trapped in tunnels. (Israel has reportedly agreed with the U.S. to give them safe passage, but it seems that so far no country has agreed to take them in.)
The U.S. deal stipulated that Hamas would disarm. So far that hasn’t happened. (It seems that Hamas and Israel didn’t sign that part of the deal.)
Israeli forces are still in much of Gaza.
So what does all this mean?
Here is a possible take:
- Because the living hostages are free, Hamas lost the shield that the hostages provided.
- The two hundred trapped terrorists are a demoralizing blow to Hamas. And as long as they are trapped, Israel might be using this as leverage to try to redeem the last hostage bodies.
- Hamas’s not disarming might be the reason why international forces have not yet entered Gaza. This gives Israel more freedom to operate. And (if Hamas continues to refuse to disarm), it might give Israel justification to go into Gaza and finish Hamas off.
4) If this impasse persists, many Gazan civilians might demand that they be allowed to emigrate, and the world might agree to accommodate them.
Hamas is now in a fine mess.
As the entire world has witnessed the Almighty’s awesome and miraculous protection of the Jewish nation, with Israel defeating Iran and its proxies, and with world leaders clamping down on much antisemitism (especially on college campuses in the U.S. and elsewhere), and as we have seen a tremendous awakening of the Jewish people to their heritage, it encourages much optimism that all evil will soon be wiped out, and that the Redemption with Moshiach will soon bring peace to the whole world.
A time when the dead will rise and be alive in this physical world.
A time when we will truly rejoice, when the Jewish nation will unite with themselves and their G-d.
When world peace and prosperity will permeate the entire earth. And the nations will express tremendous appreciation and honour to G-d and to His chosen nation.
A time of pure bliss. A time of wondrous splendour.
A time that Jews have longed for thousand years.
A time that seems to be so close, as the world moves forward in so many beneficial ways.
May it happen very soon.
