looked like nothing was going to change
everything was dark across the range
all was just out of tune and deranged
around me the world had become so rotten and strange
every time and moment remained the same
each day was the old game
only thing left to me was my name
as I watched the days roll in, so full of shame
Nothing to live for. No one to trust
no one seemed to know what was just –
just thought of the day of eternal dust
so many people left me in disgust
the evening dinner were the halva leftovers
and the benches were my sleepovers
scammed I was, taken for a rollover
until she came into my life and made a makeover
Beauty of face, gentle of smile, warm of voice,
she gave my life a new choice
she gave me something to rejoice
a flag of hope to hoist
so many decades just watching the tides roll away
brown hair turned by loneliness into gray
remembering the wounds of those that did me a betray
it seemed that my life had come to its D-day
but she would not give up
She told me, “You are no longer alone anymore. I am your backup.”
That is when I placed down the deathcup
She was no trickster, no setup.
Well today is one year
and 6,000 miles is as just as near
as is as the air is so precious and dear –
with her life now is a glorious frontier
the morning sun, the evening star
is breathtaking because of her
her love did heal every scar
to have her — all the pain to reach her
was it worth it, a pain now that became a blur
How blessed I am to have her!!!!!
Baruch Hashem! In the Merits of my Holy Parents! She is mine!
