HBO Max is preparing to air a powerful new series, One Day in October, on October 7, 2025 — the two-year anniversary of the Hamas attack in Israel.

The scripted anthology drama spans four episodes, each approximately an hour long, and is based on firsthand accounts from survivors and the families of victims. Created by Oded Davidoff and Daniel Finkelman, the show blends personal stories into a dramatized retelling of one of the most significant events in recent history.

The cast features a strong lineup of Israeli talent, including Ariel Or, Noa Kedar, Naomi Levov, Hisham Suliman, Wael Hamdoun, Yuval Semo, Yael Abecassis, Avi Azulay, and Naveh Tzur. Additional names attached are Moran Rosenblatt, Michael Aloni, Neta Roth, Sean Softi, Lior Ashkenazi, and Uri Perelman.

The series originally premiered in Israel in 2024, and its arrival on HBO Max marks its first major US release.

HBO hasn’t confirmed whether it will also broadcast on its linear channel or stick exclusively to streaming, but one thing is clear: One Day in October is set to spark conversation when it drops.
