How the Doha strike led to freedom

I was talking to a friend a few days ago. “Qatar was a mistake,” he said.

“No,” I countered. It worked out perfectly.”

“How?”

“Simple. After Israel bombed Qatar, Trump told Netanyahu to apologize, and the U.S. signed a treaty to defend Qatar. So now Qatar felt secure from any potential attack, whether from Israel or Iran or anyone.”

“So?”

“So Qatar was now beholden to Trump. And when Trump asked them to pressure Hamas, Qatar readily agreed. And because Israel had missed the Hamas leaders in Qatar, they were available to be pressured.”

“Wow.”

“Yup. Everything happens by Divine providence. The Almighty orchestrated events, so that Israel attacked, missed; and Trump felt it necessary (because of the large U.S. military base there) to offer protection, which caused Qatar to reciprocate. Trump also influenced Turkey. And now the hostages are coming home.”

We talked some more about the many miracles of the past two years, beginning with October 7 itself, when Hezbollah and Iran hesitated to join Hamas on that day. Had they done so, it would have been catastrophic G-d forbid.

Then Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran were defeated spectacularly.

And now, world nations joined Trump in his efforts to free the last captives. And part of the deal is for Hamas to disarm.

And Israel has learned, from October 7, that giving away land is extremely dangerous.

This Simchat Torah, we had extra reason to dance and be happy, happy that we are Jews, happy that we are a light to the nations, and happy with the Torah, G-d’s wisdom that He has given us.

And happy that the Almighty “watches over the land constantly, from the beginning of the year until the end of the year.” (Deuteronomy 11; 12)

G-d chose us and protects us. And so we dance, bringing the happiness of Simchat Torah into the entire year.
