Won't Be Silent

If, Like Me, You Feel Politically Homeless…

There’s A Fresh Independent Path for California.

Since November 6, 2024, I’ve felt politically homeless.

Like many of you, I came of age believing in Democratic values — decency, inclusion, justice, compassion. Over the past few years, and especially since October 7, something broke. The party I once trusted has become reckless with language, indifferent to antisemitism, and morally incoherent when clarity matters most. That closed my heart in a way I never expected.

I didn’t drift away. I walked away — with intention — and found my way forward as No Party Preference.

I wasn’t looking for another party, and I wasn’t looking for a savior. I was looking for sanity. For competence. For honesty. For someone who understands that leadership is about fixing what’s broken, not inflaming it.

That’s how I came to Ethan Penner.

Ethan is running as an Independent for Governor of California. He’s a lifelong builder, a systems thinker, and a deeply successful business leader who isn’t interested in playing political games. He talks about restoring the California Dream—not as a slogan, but as a responsibility. And for the first time in a long while, I felt something unexpected: trust.

I’ve agreed to head up the communications team for his campaign because I believe this moment demands alternatives—not purity tests, not parties, but real paths forward.

Ethan’s language resonates with me because it reflects how so many of us feel: politically orphaned, morally awake, unwilling to stay silent, and ready to rebuild.

If you feel the same—if you’re tired of choosing between bad options, if you want an independent path rooted in decency and clarity—join the conversation and decide for yourself.

This isn’t about blind loyalty. It’s about restoring the California Dream we’ve lost under the guise of “democracy.”

And since you know I won’t be silent, I invite you to check out Ethan’s Substack.
